Right now, im looking around on ebay for Megadrive's and old Sonic games. Im feeling very nostalgic at the moment (hence the thread), and i want to relive some of those old memories.
This summer looks to be the same cool summer I had last year. Gonna grab a job too, to get some money, altho I totally don't want to ><
Late night staying up, Guild Wars, IMs, and Granaboard without limits.
IRT Cata: I suggest getting Gens. It'll play these games with 2xSaI (apparent higher resolution and smoothing), savestates, fast forwards, PC gamepads, etc. You can also play 2P games online.
No worries, i alread have that. And yes, ive already put it to 2xsai, theres quite a noticable difference isnt there?
However, im also thinking of getting Sonic Mega Collection for the GC, since apparantly that has perfect emulation standards (unlike its PS2/Xbox counterparts). Also, Sonic Gems collection is coming to GC, and is to feature the following:
-Sonic CD (the superior PC version)
-Sonic the Fighters (previously unreleased outside of arcade)
-Sonic R (superior PC version)
and the following Game Gear games:
-Sonic Spinball
-Sonic the Hedgehog 2
-Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble
-Sonic Drift Racing 2
-Tails' Skypatrol
-Tails' Adventures
Thats an impressive line-up of Sonic games, made especially attractive by the fact i havent played most of those. It'd be nice to have almost every single retro Sonic game on two GC discs.
It is, although they're missing Sonic Chaos and Sonic Labyrinth for the Game Gear.
That'll be the first time Sonic the Fighters is playable. They've probably converted it (when the target platform is way faster it's not that hard), I doubt they have implemented a Model 2 emulator. (We'll know soon enough, if they start releasing Daytona USA, Indy 500, etc., they have.)
I wonder why is sega obsessed with the Game Gear Sonic games though. There are Master System versions of Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic Chaos, and Sonic Spinball, which play on a much higher resolution; these are preferred for emulation. I used to play them with SMS-Plus, which offered strong smoothing helping the SMS (and the Game Gear) a lot.
Yeah, Sonic Chaos would have been fun. As for Sonic Labyrinth, i'd only like it to complete the collection.
Same here.
im reading manga, right
